A Message from MTK

As the season is now underway, we want to take a minute and thank everyone for their patience and dedication as we have gotten the season rolling.  It feels great to be back on the ice and provides a glimmer of hope that things will return to normal in the future.  All our players and families have seemed extremely excited to be back on the ice playing games and those who attended had a blast at the Bradford tournament. 

We would like to take a minute to thank our volunteers.  MTK, LCMHL and D4 are all run by volunteers who have full-time jobs, family obligations and are more often than not taking on multiple roles at many levels of hockey and within other community organizations.  The effort that goes into putting this all together behind the scenes amounts to an endless amount of hours. From executive members, coaches, trainers, managers and all team staff the commitment of these volunteers is something that must be recognized.

We are reaching out to everyone in the hopes that as a group we can all think about the level of commitment and time given by our volunteers and remember to be kind, polite and patient in their interactions.  We must show these volunteers the level of respect that they deserve and be thankful that they have given the time and effort they have. Our ultimate goal every year is to end the season with every player wanting to return.  We also want to extend that same thought process to our volunteers because without them, none of this would be possible and how we all interact with them determines their interest in returning in future years.

On behalf of the entire association, we want to thank each and every volunteer that continues to give their time and help to create these amazing experiences for the kids.

We hope that everyone has an amazing season of new experiences with friends that will last a lifetime.
