MTK Back to the rink!

  The Ottawa B League OBMHL has made the decision to delay game play until Saturday, January 15 at 9am.  MTK has made the decision to move forward with practices as of January 2^nd.

As per Ontario’s regulations, residents are required to have their QR code starting January 4.  Players and spectators must have this available to enter the facility.   More information will be sent to the managers and safety officers.

During practices, teams are asked to use both dressing rooms that have been designated for their practice. 

While in the dressing room: 

• Don’t leave the dressing room until the ice is ready.  No players should be lined up along the boards while the Zamboni is on the ice.
• Try to maintain distance from other players where possible. Use both dressing rooms assigned. – Dressing room monitors will be required for both rooms.
• Masks must be kept on in the dressing room until you are ready to put your helmet on and enter the ice.

On the ice: 

• Coaches and team staff are to wear masks at all times.
• Don’t share water bottles.

In general: 

• Don’t come to hockey if you aren’t feeling well or have any symptoms, or if you have been told to self-isolate.  
• Follow the Ontario Government and Public Health requirements regarding isolation
• No affiliated players should be invited to practices at this time

Additionally, we would like to stress that families must make the choices that are best for them. No player will be penalized for missing or opting out of any practice. Coaches are able to cancel ice times where they see fit.

Our main goal is to ensure all players can get back on the ice and we can continue with the season as of January 15.  The practice schedule will be updated throughout the weekend.  If you have any questions please let us know.
