MTK Association Awards were presented before our AGM last evening.
Congratulations to the Winners and all those Nominated for Awards.
So great to celebrate such fine young players and team leaders.
As voted on by the executive:
Leadership Award – tied for Cole McLelland U15, Jacob Lepage U18
Trainer of the Year – Jason Tunks
Coach of the Year – Mark Barnes
Volunteer of the Year – Safety Officers (email has gone out to confirm the names of all safety officers)
For the following Awards the nominations were sent to a panel of individuals without any association with MTK. They were presidents of other associations, past presidents, and coaches from our home associations. The coach's write-ups were provided to them without knowing the player's names or levels. Attached is what was sent to each volunteer.
1. Junior Offensive Player – Murray Guthrie – (U10)

2. Senior Offensive Player – Nate Sloss (U14)

3. Junior Defensive Player – Liam Marcil (U13)
Nominees were – Egan Shaughnessy (U10), Mason Barker (U11), Justin Hart(U12)
4. Senior Defensive Player- Adam Fortin (U18)
Nominees were – Ryan Jones (U14), Matt Mercier (U15)
5. Junior Goalie – Calvin Hawn (U13)
Nominees were – Griffin Bougie (U10), Ethan Lapointe & Ethan Spooner(U12), Calvin Boudrias (U11)
6. Senior Goalie – Ayden McKlay (U18)
Nominees were Sam Lepage(U15)
7. Junior Overall Player – Preston Bougie (U13)
Nominees were – Ryan Caldwell(U12), Noah Doran-Veevers (U11), Maks Recoskie (U10)
8. Senior Overall Player – Winner – Finn Bagshaw (U14)
Nominees were Connor Cogswell(U15) and Jacob Lepage(U18)
