MTK Tryout Page for the 2023-2024 Season

Competitive Tryouts
This information is for those wishing to tryout for MTK Rep B Hockey.
These are the minimum requirements for registration prior to attending any try out session with MTK
Online registration with APMHA or CPMHA using the
Competitive Tryout Registration option.
- Payment of $25 non-refundable administration fee within the online system.
Once registered with your Home Assoctions you will deal directly with the competitive association.
Players successful in making a competitive team will owe all fees directly to the respective competitive club.

MTK Expression of Interest 2023-2024
This Expression of Interest is required to allow you to register your player through the Mississippi Thunderkings Hockey Canada Site for the tryout and other sessions being offered by the MTKMHC
Only players who have completed the Expression of Interest Form and registered with their home association can access the store.
Please allow 24-48 hours for all submissions to be approved.
Please ensure you only register for the competitive tryout with your Home association ($25). Do not pay full Home association registration fee. Pay the $25 now and if unsuccessful at our competitive tryouts, home association fees can be paid later without penalty.
After 48 hours you can proceed to the MTK Store through HCR to complete registration and payment. Use the Register here button.
- HCR Account Setup Instructions. If your player is new to hockey, create your own HCR profile first, then skip the steps to link a member; instead go to the next step that will give you the option to register your new player.
NB: If you have completed the Tryout "Expression of Interest Form" and have NOT received your registration link, one of the following problems was encountered:
*You have not completed your home association 'Competitive Registration' ($25 fee). An email has been sent asking you to do so.
*You have 'unsubscribed' from MTK emails. A link has been sent for you to resubscribe.
*Your Hockey Canada profile does not have an address within the MTK boundary. Please provide proof of address to your home association, or reach out to registrar@mississippithunderkings.ca to inquire about Competitive Tryout Transfer requests.

Please read all details carefully regarding final team selection, as no exceptions will be made.
Pre Tryout Conditioning:
- When ice availability and timing allows - A minimum of 1 hour of pre tryout conditioning will be available for all players that have pre- registered for MTK tryouts
- All players attending pre tryout conditioning must be registered with their respective home association and must complete the online Registration for MTK.
- There is no cost for these sessions
Tryouts Costs:
- $130 - for players that have completed the online pre-registration
- $170 – for players that walk-up the first day of tryouts without completing the online pre-registration
- Payments are due before the first tryouts session..
*** Refunds for tryout fees will be reviewed on a case by case basis
Tryout Registration:
- All players must be registered with their respective home associations (APMHA or CPMHA) prior to attending a tryout.
- Pre-registration through the MTK website is strongly encouraged.
- Try-out fee will beinvoiced and payment will be required before the first tryout session.
- It is recommended that players arrive at approx 45 minutes before the first session to allow time for registration. The registration desk opens 1 hour prior to ice time.
Jerseys:
- Tryout Jerseys will be provided upon registration and must not be altered or switched unless done so by an executive member.
- The tryout costs includes a Jersey for the player to keep.
- All other equipment is the responsibility of the individual player.
FINAL TEAM SELECTION:
At final team selection each player must provide the following - you will be sent a link to update your registration through HCR.
- Full payment of MTK fees as per the schedule of fees
- Signed MTK Equipment – Jersey Policy with postdated jersey deposit cheque
- Signed MTK Player Code of Conduct
- Signed MTK Parent Code of Conduct
- Signed On Ice Policy
MTK Fees:
As per district registration policies, fees will be due in full to the MTK.
No fees will be transferred from home associations.
All players trying out for an MTK team must register with their home association and pay the $25 registration fee to the home association prior to attending tryouts.

Payment Options
As the final team selection will be posted online, players families will be sent a link to complete their registration through HCR. Payment options are as follows 2 options:
A - 1 full payment to be paid through HC Account upon team selection
B- 2 equal payments upon team selection and November 1st

*** all conditions above MUST be met before players will be allowed to attend practices or team functions
Imports: MTK is currently not accepting imports until closer to the season.
